Silver Lake Campgrounds
Silver Lake Campground is operated by the US Forest Service. Across the highway is Silver Lake West Campground which is operated by El Dorado Irrigation District (EID), which also operates several day-use facilities at and near the lake.
At the south end of Silver Lake is Plasse's Resort which offers both tent and RV camping. Also at the south end of the lake is Stockton's Silver Lake Family Camp where Stockton residents can spend a week or two relaxing in the mountains.
Silver Lake East Campground
Located at an elevation of 7,200 feet, 52 miles east of Jackson on Highway 88 at Silver Lake. Usually open from June 1 to mid-October.

- 62 camp sites for tents, trailers and RVs up to 40 feet
- Vault toilets, piped water, picnic tables, some grills, fire rings, some bear boxes
- Walking distance from Silver Lake for swimming, fishing, boating, hiking
