A number of great resorts and lodges are located along Carson Pass from Pine Grove up through Lower Bear Lake Reservoir, Silver and Caples lakes, and across the pass in the Hope Valley. Gold Country Campground Resort - Pine Grove

Gold Country Campground Resort in Pine Grove has attractions such as a heated swimming pool, mini-golf, a spray park, an activity and arcade room, and a playground. They offer tent camping sites and RV sites with full hook-ups, cabins, vacation cottages, and motel rooms.

Rates: $35 - $64 per night for 4 people, rates vary by site, day of week, and season.
Tent Sites: picnic table, fire ring - maximum 5 people and 2 tents per site.
Rates: $20 off-season per night, $39 - $45 during high season per night for 4 people. Additional people $5 each.

Bear River Lake Resort

Bear River Lake Resort, on the shore of Lower Bear River Reservoir, offers camping and cabins, water skiing and fishing, hiking and various outdoor sports. At an elevation of 5,800 feet, Lower Bear River Reservoir is often open before any of the other large lakes higher on the pass.

All campsites include power, water, picnic tables, fire fits, flush toilet bathrooms, showers.
Rates for 1 vehicle and 4 people: $33 per night for standard site, $49.50 for extra large site (weekly and monthly rates available).
Cabins
Sleep 4, bedroom and living room, linens and blankets provided, full baths, kitchens.
Rates: $117 for a single night, $102 per night for 2 or more nights, $612 per week.

Plasse's Resort - Silver Lake

Plasse's Resort was originally the home of French immigrant Ramon Pierre Plasse who settled there along the Carson River Emigrant Trail in 1853. Today Plasse's is a popular camping and RV resort near the southern end of Silver Lake. It includes the Thunder Mountain Restaurant, a general store, sports areas, and canoe and kayak rentals. Open early June to mid-September.

Kit Carson Lodge - Silver Lake

Kit Carson Lodge has been a favorite destination at Silver Lake for over 80 years. Established in 1926 the lodge includes 19 cottages and 8 hotel rooms within its scenic 12 acres along the shore. Also available at the lodge are a restaurant, boat rentals, a swimming beach, and art gallery.

Caples Lake Resort

Caples Lake Resort has spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. They offer a main lodge, lodge rooms and housekeeping cabins, a marina with boat rentals, and access to great hiking and fishing. The resort is open from Memorial Day through October and then again from Christmas time until April.
